The Braco Experience

An “ordinary man with an extraordinary gift” – that‘s how the Croatian Braco is often described. He has, as some scientists and doctors say, a special gift to improve people’s lives: through his silent gaze. Thousands have gathered at events and congresses in 30 countries on 4 continents since 1995 to experience Braco and his gaze.

On November 16, 2012, Braco was awarded an international peace prize by a United Nations organization in New York: the Peace Pole. He received the award for his worldwide work in helping people to make their lives better through his silent gaze. Previously, the Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa had received the same award. Braco, the man from Zagreb, Croatia, has been known for years for his “silent gaze,” with which people experience wonderful things, countless experiences and feelings such as peace, harmony, love and new confidence. Many speak of a new attitude towards life, a positive improvement in their family or professional situation, and an improvement in their health, a new connection to themselves:

The Braco Experience – Experts speak of a real phenomenon

Some doctors, psychologists and other scientists see Braco and his silent gaze as a phenomenon. They say that the Braco Experience can help people noticeably improve their lives. The Zagreb University professor and physician Professor Dr. med. Vladimir Gruden, specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy is considered the most famous medical psychotherapist in Croatia. He wrote two books about Braco’s gaze after years of observation and states:

“The interesting thing about Braco is that he can bring about changes in people. (…) We always wonder if there is something that science has not discovered yet, some kind of energy that can reach people. (…) ”

 

Help in life through a silent gaze

Braco is a human being, like most of us. He loves nature, especially the sea. He loves to be with friends and his family. People always want to compare him with the silent yogi masters of India. But Braco does not meditate and does not follow any spiritual tradition. It is, in his case, a pure gift.

In October 1993, Braco met Ivica Prokic in Zagreb, who had been helping people for years without taking any money. He stayed by the side of this extraordinary man until April 1995. After his death on April 23, 1995, Braco did not know how to continue. Ivica had helped thousands. In early May 1995, a woman in Zagreb approached him with a request to help her daughter. Just to do her a favour, Braco briefly touched her daughter’s photo. A few days later, the mother brought a bouquet of flowers as thanks for her daughter’s recovery. So it became more and more known that Braco also had a special gift to help people.
Soon there were hundreds, then thousands who brought the burden and need of their lives to Braco for help. At first, Braco still talked to the people. When he stood in front of nearly 8000 people one day in February 2004, after 36 hours of work, he had to realize that this was not the way to continue his work.  Since then, people come to him in groups of up to 1000 and he gives them his gaze.
Braco has not spoken in public since 2004. He has never given an interview to the media. At an “encounter” Braco stands on a podium and silently looks at the people in the group in front of him for about 5 minutes. He does not speak or touch the people. It is enough to open up inside to feel the energy in Braco’s gaze.

• Braco does not impart any theory, philosophy or message to the visitors.
• Braco does not promise a cure.
• He does not explain, teach, diagnose or treat. Attending an event is not a substitute for medical treatment.
• He merely offers the possibility that what he shares with people may help them personally in some way. It is not up to him or his decision who receives help.
• The events with Braco are open to everyone, minimum age 18 years. Pregnant women can attend an event with Braco until the end of their third month of pregnancy.

It is impressive to stand in front of a person who simply looks at the visitors of his events in silence. No gripping speech, no new teachings or wisdom – especially no new religion – just silence. Braco gazes for a few minutes at the visitors standing in front of him in groups – even of more than 1000 people – and does not speak a word. Without any special gestures, simply dressed, a slender, medium-sized man with shoulder-length hair stands on a pedestal, so that even the visitors in the back rows can still see him. Being able to see means that they can look into his eyes. Those eyes wander quietly over the rows during the few minutes Braco stands in front of the groups. Some visitors come out of interest in something new, others desperately hoping for a miracle, still others with an expression of great gratitude.

All seek eye contact with the 53-year-old Zagreb native. It is a special five to seven minutes. The room seems to be filled to the brim with something invisible that appears to the critical mind as mere nothingness, but brings tears to the eyes of an open soul. What is happening here in a time of many words and endless discussions? Nowadays, only the person who knows how to draw others to his side with slogans, fiery speeches or clever words really counts. But here stands a man without any suggestive gestures, who obviously does not need to be convinced by words. He has the courage, fully aware of his gift, to stand before thousands of people. He has a gift that some scientists say the world has not yet seen in this form.

There are thousands who have been coming for more than 25 years to events and congresses in the USA, Australia, Russia, Japan, Mexico and most of the countries in Europe to experience Braco and his gaze. Some doctors, psychologists, scientists, and consciousness researchers see his work with great esteem and respect and have written books about Braco and his special gift. In the meantime there are almost 100 films, which give a picture of what is possible through the silent gaze of Braco, through testimonies of visitors from 4 continents. The well-known Romanian neurologist and psychiatrist Prof. D.C. Dulcan, M.D., made a small study when he visited Braco in Bucharest: From the testimonials of more than 1500 visitors, I made a study, and consequently I think that Braco has indeed an effect on the mind, on the soul and on the physical body.”

How is it possible that a simple gaze can give people so much?  What power works through this gaze, that literally spontaneously a brightening of the inner life occurs, dark, heavy feelings dissolve and many a person has found his smile again after decades? Many feel a deep peace, sensations of happiness and joy, and a vitalizing energy coursing through the body. Some report that after meeting Braco, years of life problems miraculously dissolved and concrete improvements in their lives occurred. Others claim that physical ailments disappeared and a positive balance entered their lives. Even some people who just happened to attend an event without knowing Braco report spontaneous positive changes and can perceive a clearly noticeable uplifting force within themselves as soon as Braco looks at the group.

The most famous medical psychotherapist and psychiatrist in Croatia, university professor Vladimir Gruden, MD, PhD has intensively studied Braco and his gift. His summary after years of research can be found in two books entitled ‘Braco’s Gaze’, which are now translated into three languages. Gruden speaks with great respect about Braco and his work in his book publications. Prof. Gruden:

Who is this Braco that so many people around the world want to meet? He is a man with academic education, comes from Zagreb, Croatia, is married and has a son. In 1995, after a heavy blow of fate, Braco discovered his gift to help people to improve their lives. Braco has no meditative practice, he does not follow any spiritual tradition, it is in his case a pure gift. In the beginning, he talked to the visitors individually, until in 2004, on one day, more than 7000 visitors came. Since then the visitors at his events come together in groups and Braco gives them his silent gaze.

Braco does not see himself as a healer. He describes his work with the words, „Giving help.“ He has no influence on in what form and whether an improvement occurs for a visitor. He speaks with great respect about that, what works through him and he himself is amazed at what visitors experience. He does not see his work as a substitute for medical therapies.
Braco provides in his way in silence something that can be taken or not. This something becomes a reality for each visitor who perceives concrete changes in and of himself. At the same time, the encounter with Braco and his gaze does not require any special preparation. It is enough to simply look Braco in the eyes during an event.

In 2012, Braco received the international peace prize “Peace Pole” from a UN organization in New York, which had been awarded before him to the Dalai Lama, and Mother Teresa, among others. Rev. Deborah Moldow, USA, representing the UN Organisation:

 „It’s time to build a new culture of peace, and that’s where Braco comes in. I believe that is exactly what Braco brings through his gaze; he gives each person a personal experience of peace. […] When we presented Braco with the Peace Pole it was such a special moment. It was not only the awarding of the ‘Peace Pole’, but also a way for the people from around the United Nations who had gathered there to appreciate Braco as an ‘Ambassador of Peace’.”

Braco has traveled by invitation to conventions and events in 30 countries on 4 continents. A documentary film about his work around the world, entitled „The Power of Silence“ (film with translation in 27 languages on YouTube: Braco official channel), also featuring the famous author Paulo Coelho, premiered in Hollywood and New York at the end of 2016. Among others, Naomi Campell came to the premiere and was thrilled.

What the Eyes do not see, the Heart feels

I first learned about Braco years ago and attended an event in Munich with some colleagues. We were initially very surprised but also impressed by Braco’s courage to stand silently in front of the approximately 4500 people in Munich without speaking a word. In further research, the improvements in the different areas of life, visitors experience after encountering Braco’s gaze were convincing. Braco’s gaze conveys something invisible, a kind of energy that can literally lift people to a higher inner level. This can be felt so palpably by many a visitor that words fail to describe the inner transformation. That which Braco gives through his silent gaze is not perceptible through the external senses, yet it is soulfully palpable. For this it is enough to open the heart.

After an event with Braco at a large congress in Hamburg, the director asked me what Braco would do. After a few minutes of his gaze, many people in the hall were simply happy. This is always noticeable after events with Braco: Many visitors who leave the hall have a smile on their face, their face seems to radiate from within. Experts believe that the “energy” in Braco’s gaze causes profound harmonizations in people.

The well-known Swiss scientist Professor Alex Schneider describes it this way:
“Braco does not approach people to fight a particular evil. He wants to reach them in a very deep lying, mostly unconscious part. If this is enlivened, harmonized, brought more into consciousness, physical, mental and social disorders disappear.”

Others speak of the fact that through Braco’s gaze the inner life of people can be revived. So often I have seen tears of relief in visitors to the events when the new inside becomes palpable.

In unexpected and amazing ways, the social environment of some visitors is positively affected. I was able to hear of impressive improvements in life circumstances, but also in personal relationships that had been strained for years and decades. The arc is closed by the incomprehensible long-distance effect that becomes apparent when visitors to the events have photographs of close people with them, who then experience improvements without being present in person.

For many people, the encounter with Braco is an encounter with themselves. Through the obvious revitalization of their inner life, they gain access to a level within themselves that was previously closed to many. The life of the soul undergoes changes and acquires a new unusual dimension. The feelings of love, peace, joy, optimism come from within themselves, they are the first signs of awakening of their true inner life.
